West Ham’s ‘remarkable offer’ leaves manager flattered – Hammers take concrete steps

West Ham United have 23 goals from 25 league games and their poor scoring record sees them sitting 16th in the table, a point ahead of Everton, who are in the relegation zone.

David Moyes’ position at the London club could be under threat and they seem to have started the process of finding his successor.

That’s at least what LaRoma24.it are stating and they add West Ham have identified AS Roma manager José Mourinho as the target.

It’s claimed ‘England calls’ the 60-year-old, who won three Premier League titles with Chelsea. The Hammers have taken concrete steps and ‘delivered a remarkable offer’ to hire Mourinho.

Although Mourinho is flattered with the ‘rich contract’ and ambitious project proposed by West Ham, he doesn’t intend to take this into consideration as his focus remains on the Serie A side.

The manager has a deal lasting until 2024 and even if there are no meetings lined up with the club’s owners over his future, the Giallorossi remain in the lead.

Mourinho would consider other solutions only if Roma decided not to move forward with him. The Portuguese tactician is happy in Rome and would gladly continue in Italy. This wouldn’t make it easy for West Ham to appoint him as their new manager.

West Ham pushing to sign Super Eagles star but face competition from PL trio

West Ham United still maintain an interest in Super Eagles star Ola Aina after missing out on his signature in the summer transfer window, allnigeriasoccer.com has been told.

Aina's proposed return to the Premier League fell through on deadline day last summer as the Hammers saw a bid rejected by Torino.
West Ham made a bid in the region of seven million euros to sign the Chelsea Academy product but the amount was deemed insufficient by Torino.

Now, the Hammers could be saving transfer funds by signing the versatile defender for nothing with his contract with Torino running out at the end of the 2022-2023 campaign.
Contract talks with Torino have stalled, which could pave the way for Aina to leave the Serie A club as a free agent.

Apart from West Ham, Bournemouth, Everton and Fulham are also monitoring the situation of the 26-year-old.
In the race for the signature of the Nigerian, the Premier League quartet have competition from abroad in the form of La Liga side Villarreal, German Bundesliga team Werder Bremen and four-time French champions Lille.

Aina has played nonstop at Torino since the summer of 2018, first joining them on loan from Chelsea, before the transfer was made permanent the following season.

I see no point in keep going after these overpaid 'famous names' (bearing in mind it's almost certainly made up Sullivan BS anyway). We want someone younger, someone coming up on the rails, not someone with nothing left to prove and little desire to prove it anyway.
We need an inspirational appointment - someone like Domenico Tredesco, or Will Still or yes, maybe even Carrick. But the most important thing is we need to get that stumpy little dildo headed knob-jockey out of our boardroom, and he needs to take Moyes with him as well.

Jose Mourinho could be the best thing to happen to West Ham in a long time and only having to pay out Roma for 1 yr of his contract could make him tempting to the club.
